Oh Lord, Savior of all and helper of mankind, bless me on my journey and keep my brethren and I safe. Protect those who drive, and keep them in thy mercy. Strengthen and watch over those who work in driver support and surround them with thy mercy.
Calm the one whose anger over takes them and in thy loving kindness forgive them. Remind me to be helpful and compassionate oh Lord to all of those around me.
Keep me free from trouble this day, and let not my vehicle nor myself require emergency service. Help me along my journey oh God, and keep all troubles at bay.
These things I Pray To you oh master. Have mercy upon your children, especially those traveling the roads and who are away from home.
Hi, my name is Ian. I'm also known as the Orthodox Trucker. Why the name? Well because I'm an Orthodox Christian and a truck driver. Pretty simple, right? I'm also a writer and an Ancient Faith Ambassador. I'm also a loving husband and proud papa.
Everything I do under the Orthodox Trucker name is aimed at examining Orthodox Christianity, and how our mundane and ordinary lives intersect with the Kingdom of God. I will also share my general observations, reflections and thoughts about Orthodoxy, and what lessons I have learned throughout my daily adventures. It is my hope that together, we can both learn something new. Stick around if you will, and let's see where the road takes us. Orthodox Christianity through the eyes of a trucker!
